Remus Header and Bashplate Compatability

Hi Guys,

Am about to install the Remus header on the F800GS. I've heard that I'll probably have to alter the BMW alloy bashplate to accommodate. Anyone have any experience with this?

Bashplate and Remus headers.....

Dont know about the BMW one, but ive been told by a customer that the Remus headers dont fit as standard with our (adventure-spec) bashplate, which is a pain. He said he needs to lower the guard by ONE AND A HALF inches! I reckon losing that much ground clearance is not good on a bike that doesnt exactly tower as standard. I reckon the hunt for a cat-less system may have to continue.........
