Considering some Remus Headers for my 2009 GS however I've just been looking at my SW Motech crash bars and I'm not sure the lambda sensor won't foul or prevent fitting?

Anyone tell me what will fit? Some seem to have sensors in the original position and some on the curved section. Would prefer the Remus because if there quality but just looking for other people's experiences with headers and SW Motech bars.

The lambda sensors in the Remus pipes are upstream of the position of those in the stock pipes, about 50mm up from center line of bend where the pipe is at 45ish degrees.
The lambda sensor is angled inwards so the top metal part ends about 40mm from the sight glass.
If you are going to use the stainless Remus pipes a pair of blanking plugs can be fitted and another pair of lambda bosses welded in to suit your bars, I have 2 sets of lambda bosses in mine so that I can also run a pair of wide band sensors to check AFR`s whilst running the stock narrow band sensors.
I know that some engine bars were not compatible with the Remus headers but can`t remember which.

The Remus will take the OEM lambda sensors but the wiring socket has to be clipped in place under the cylinder before the plug is popped in.

Nippy Norman also sells Machine Art X-Heads which do a better job of protecting the bike and (IMO) look better as well.

The cylinder is the toughest part of the engine. If that gets ripped away, the rest of the bike wont be worth a whistle. A crash bar that point loads the crankcase is not offering much "protection" if the engine case cracks.

Think I'm going to go down the keihan headers route as the sensor location is the same. And they're just down the road. :beerjug:

I have keihan and sw mototech on mine it's a just fit

Taking a closer look at your pictures. The Remus pipes sweep back more than most so it's likely the angled pipe will hit the Motech crash bars. Its a shame because Remus don't seem to tarnish and go dull as badly as most other brands.
