First post so please be gentle! Used to own 1150/1200GS's moved on to K1300S now back to a more sensible steed in F800GS.
Just purchased new Remus header pipes off Ebay for £180 (seemed like a good price). 2 questions- are they easy to fit and secondly what are peoples experiences with aftermarket headers- do they make much of a difference to the feel of the bike and is there anything I need to be aware of?
Mmmm perhaps that's more than 2 questions but what the hell I'm new so give me a little latitude.

Welcome to the land of Tossers Wellsy, and well done on coming straight in as a subscribed member :thumb

The F800GS is a great bike, you've chosen Wisely Wellsy ;)

The headers won't make that much difference, maybe sound a bit better, but we don't need reasons to spend money on our bikes now do we?

Bit fiddly up round the mounting studs to the cylinder head but can be done. Mind the thin steel gaskets don't drop out or get damaged. If there studs come out of the head no problems, just copperslip 'em up and put them back in again when you reassemble but just beware you don't cross thread them

If you've got the time and inclination you can remove the nut from the stud and put the stud in first before re assembly. Plenty of copperslip is your friend :thumb

Enjoy...

We don't mind multiple questions on here. We're not like those anal 1200 riders:ymca. N'or are we like those weirdy beardy 1100/1150 riders:rob.

Ask us what you like. We might not answer! But ask anyway.

As Micky stated above and be aware of : the remus header pipes sit slightly lower than the stock pipes If a BMW bash plate is fitted then adaption is needed :thumb

I say this as mine did and was :D

nice bike enjoy :thumb :beerjug:
