Yippeee. .
just won a set of Dec at Remus headers on ebay.
I got them for £150 which I consider a good price.....
I pick them up tonight. So with any luck I should have them fitted before the trip to Hillside on Saturday.

Just be aware that Remus changed the design at some point with regard to lambda sensor position. The ones where the lambda ports are further back on the horizontal part of the pipe are not compatible with bmw oe crash bars if you have those fitted. I found out the hard way!

Hilltop I'm guessing?

Ooops I meant Hilltop..
Down pipes are fitted and all is connected. My bike doesnt have crash bars (yet) but thats a good point about the BM ones..
Just been for a spin on the bike and to be honest I would say its more "breathy" low down than it was..
I have heard the ecu takes time to learn etc, etc.. But hopefully Saturdays remap will improve things.

The Remus has a larger bore pipe so it will be better at high power and lose a bit low down. Regardless of the bike model, an SC pipe with an SC silencer will fit fine. The TC pipe and TC silencer will also fit both models but also needs a flappy valve eliminator tube.

Thanks Bendy...
Thankfully my bike doesnt have a flappy valve.
Must say the quality of the stainless steel on Remus is excellent.
I have left the standard silencer on mine.

When I looked down the end of the original header and saw the "concrete foam" (CAT) I am amazed the engine can breath as well as it does through a standard header!
One other point is that I have started using the high octane fuel after reading various posts on here. Until I have put another tankful through I have 96RON at the moment as I only managed 12 litres of the good stuff.

I think fuel does make a difference, though small, and Geoff will probably recommend using the good stuff. You just got a new bike, enjoy!
