This might well be in the wrong section because I myself am obviously not very "technical" at all.

Remus Revolution silencers are advertised as having a removable baffle. But the baffle is riveted in. To remove it you have to drill the rivet out and leave a hole in your nice new silencer? I'm just not keen on drilling holes in a £250 can.

So yes, strictly speaking it is removable but it's not easy to swap about. You either leave it in or you leave it out.

Is this correct or am I missing something?

Sorry. I should have searched the other threads a bit harder before posting.

As I now understand, if you carefully drill the rivet, the baffle can be removed. The bracket on the baffle is threaded so that you can use a small bolt to secure it if you put it back in.

As I said initially, I am not very technical.

Yes - you're correct!!

Plus you can rivet it back in at the end of the day should you never wish to remove it again or sell it.

I've removed mine and its definately worth doing.

sounds rather uncouth with the baffle out IMO.

nice snarl with it left in.

cookie [rarely shy of being loud or uncouth :D ]
