I am about to get an after market exhaust for my 08 gsa

so is it to be remus or akrapovic??

If remus shall i get the headers too?

if akrapovic will the twin stacked system fit and will it be too loud

Or shall I get just the end can??

Advice would be appreciated please.

His is a Bos. I've had the y-piece and can on the 1150 and now the end can on the 1200. Well made bits of kit and easy to fit. IMHO loud enough with the baffle still in. but not so loud it attracts unwanted attention from the plod etc. Great burble on the over-run :) I don't need the extra 2.37689 hp that the headers would give, and yet to go far enough to need the CAT removed :tears

Need to get in touch with Sadjim though, he may be able to help ;)

whatever you do, make sure you ditch the cat for the most noticeable improvement :thumb2

Past tense on the might your maj :oonyack

If you want to maximise performance and smooth out the dip in the power band then it's got to be a new set of headers such as Remus even with the stock end can, replacing the end can alone saves weight and gives a throatier exhaust note but thats about it.

The full Akra twin can system is IMPO the best system for the bike, but at the cost of risking a confrontation with your local plod as it's a race system with no Emark and clearly stamped as such on the end caps. It's loud, but I loved it. :blast

As Akra don't produce a set of headers for the bke using the Akra can (or any other after market can designed for the stock headers) is a good option. :thumb

Definately spend your money on the remus headers. You'll loose the flatspot for a more pleasant ride. If you've got any cash left, get a can for a bit of bling and noise :thumb2

Recently got a bos full system fitted amazing difference and exactly like john said about the sound that comes from it, only mistake a made was contacting my insurance company to tell them of the mod, was hard to get insurance and cost alot more even though its road legal exhaust system, Madness!!!!!
