Oooo, I got my 2nd hand red GS LC TE from Benham and they didn't tell me it had had a new frame!! I only found out when my local dealer put a new engine in last June and told me that some of the engin/frame bolts were the wrong ones!!! So they looked up its history and found Bentham had changed the frame and one front fork.Strangely when my new gs wc bike went back to Benhams after I rejected it due to mis aligned frame issue that tried to kill me and I binned it, they had to reframe and rebuild the whole bike, I wonder if they told the new owner about its dodgy past ! I'm sure they did not because they asked myself not to disclose the reg details and the second one that started life with a light flywheel engine and ended up with a new heavy flywheel engine and still had issues.
Thats why I now ride a KTM![]()
I don't want any compo or a holiday , I want my money back as after finding out the past of the bike regardless if the engine is new its not the bike that rolled off the production line ,
I have also been in touch with my insurance company and they have suggested i don't ride the bike until the V5 has been sorted out , On that subject i don't expect BMW to sell me a bike that could of possibly had a major issue if the bike had been stolen and recovered and engine numbers not matching for a simple thing like changing the paperwork and then when i find out and write to them there reply is its an easy thing to do you just send the V5 off ,
Pathetic shocking piss poor service after spending 10k cash
Also DVLA say i need a covering letter showing all work done by dealer to verify my engine number change , If you would be happy with that then good on you , I aint !!
they said in possible theft and then recovered the engine would not match the V5 , I even spoke to the manager at Admirals and she confirmed the same , She said she has dealt with claims that have had replacement engines and it has caused major problems with so many bikes being stolen and stripped for parts
thats the last reply ill post on here , This has happened within 6 weeks of owning the bike , that corrosion was not there when i bought it
Also just found out the bike was an ex demo so it gets worse as the bike would of been ragged for the first 3 years of its life

i didnt pay cash in full but the same thing , i traded in my other bike and paid £1500 on top on card
The fact that BMW havnt filled in the V5 and not told me gives me cause to lose trust in the dealer and the bike , What else has been done and not mentioned , seems shoddy SERVICE from BMW
