I love my GS and rarely travel by any other means - however - I am increasingly scared s***less by people who seem to be hiding out in my panniers because they suddenly just appear at my elbow as they rush by. London despatchers are the worst culprits but warp drive reps on the M6 are almost as bad. My increasingly stiff neck is not helping here but I'm sure a better set of rear view mirrors would allow me far greater piece of mind and reduced laundry bills.

All advice gratefully received.

the above link should have taken you to mirror extensions...search in products...alu,high grade steel gps...hope this helps

Edit: It should now Dragonrider. I fixed it for you. Aidan

Are you saying your blind spot is directly behind you, or is it to the sides?

Personally I have my GSA mirrors adjusted to give a very wide vision, so that by the time overtaking vehicles disappear from the mirrors I can see them out of the corner of my eye. This means that to see directly behind me I have to move my head to one side. No problem.

Thanks for the comments guys. No amount of adjustment of the standard set up solves the problem for me so I went for the Dragonrider nominated mirror extensions. They seem to do the job but I would make a couple of comments. First is that you can only fit the extenders at about 45 degrees to the handlebar otherwise the bloody thing covers the starter button on RHS. Next problem is that you can only have the mirrors so far forward before they clatter the screen on full lock. At first I thought a combination of these two facts were going to eliminate any advantage but I'm pleased to say with a bit of fiddling my problem is solved at a cost of £50. What price a rep mobile up the jacksie .......

Thanks again,

dunno why bike manus don't fit mirrors with the bent bit on the edge, like they do on cars, to cover blind spots
