Replacement Starter Buttons

I could make these out of nylon if there is enough interest
Price would be a tenner posted...Cheap enough to carry a spare
I will knock one up in the next few days and put a pic up

Sounds much better than the oberon thing. As long as it doesn't have a daft logo on it.

No probs Chaps :beerjug:

No silly logos but there could be a choice of colour
Will knock some up the weekend
And post some pics :thumby:

I really don't know why I bother sometimes......

Ask a manufacturer to make a product at a decent price for everyone's benefit, then watch the vultures move in and undercut them.

Why wasn't anyone making these BEFORE I asked for Oberons help?

I still think the Titanium one is the way to go - Should last a lifetime.

I am sure Pukmeister can look after himself but FFS here is a bloke who has gone out of his way for the benefit of the rest of us and all you can do is insult him. Words fail me.

We're going to need bigger panniers soon. What with carrying tools, FPCs, EWS thingys, starter buttons, Final Drives, pictures of Ewan, bottles of adventure aftershave, 4 satnavs, spare picture of a desert pikey, tesco club card, bottles of oil fuel and water (drinking and coolant). There'll be no room left for the weekend shopping. :augie :augie

You forgot about the spare gearbox and clutches, for those who frequent the toilet series of the unstoppable ubber reliable GS  :augie

All HE seems to be doing is moaning about someone doing the same thing he did - I'm not surprised words fail you, they're clearly not your strong suit...

Please don't let the juvenile comments get to you,I've ordered one and appreciate your efforts

Competing with the sweat shops is a mugs game. Touratech have done quite well by not being cheap, so why not follow their lead.

£20 for Ti is great value IMHO. I could save £10 with a nylon part but in 6 month's time when it's gone grubby I'll have forgotten the saving and wish I'd bought the bling.

If PO delivery is too costly use another service.

No disrespect to the nylon part maker.

I think they are alloy with a Titanium anodised finish rather than billet Titanium, but they are very well made and worth it IMO.

You see....if only I could have thought of something as witty and clever as that. That really stung. You are clearly on a higher interlectual plain and someone not to mess with. I am now dully admonished and will now spend the rest of the day reading a dicssionari....dicktionary....di....big book with lots of words in.

Buttons are made and are £10 posted PM me if interested :thumby:

If there is a abit of interest i will put some on Ebay with a link to make it easy to buy
I will also look into getting some E clips

These would make a good cheap spare to carry incase you were unlucky enough to loose yours on a trip
They are made out of engineering quality nylon and will be an improvement on the O.E one
Personally i would leave the original button on the bike and just take a backup
You most likely won't need it but if you do your sorted
I have made one in red and one in black so you have a choice
