So, in the lovely weather yesterday I took the bike out for a few hours.

On the way home, before we set off, I decided to lift the screen to give a bit more protection and in doing so, the wheel snapped off. Anyone had to replace one of these before?

About £130 for the mistake but just curious how much of a job it is to replace the wheel or the whole thing (I see it comes as a unit -

Have a look on Aliexpress for the NiceCNC replacement adjuster. They're not the usual crap, aluminium and actually very good quality.

Problem is mine broke the hex head bit so I would need to replace the housing too.

But how do you take the left over "shit" out the barrel? :D Haha that would be brilliant if it was that..
Prise the cover off, just a spring washer holding the worm wheel on, grease the wheel and shaft, pop it back together with the new adjuster and put the cover back on.

Pop that cover off, remove the wheel, remove the spring washer from the end of the broken shaft, 5 minute job.

^^^^Does that cover pop off without too much drama?
How is it fixed - clipped in place or adhesive of some sort?

It’s weakly glued/bonded on, doesn’t take much force to remove, couple of spots of glue to refit. It’s a pretty crap design to be fair, very cheaply made.

I always assist the adjustments by pulling up or pushing down when adjusting. I don't trust it not to break on it's own.

Well I cut my 4 fingers when I slipped but eventually got it open.

Was hard to get the clips off.
