My poor old trusty 2610 has, now broken. It works fine but mount screw came out and got lost in the boot of my car and the hinges have fractured on the adjuster.

It was old, slow to route, and maps not updated since 2007, however it was good. The screen was clear for me and I like its way of displaying info.

Now having not looked at bike GPS's for a while, I need to replace the 2610. I am not too fussed with blue tooth or phone connection as I don't have an ear piece and as long as the screen is ok i am fine. I wear ear plugs due to tinitus, so not sure how I would cope with an ear piece.

I want a speed limit reminder capability, and camera warning would be nice too, but not as essential as speed limit warnings.

Now, I need the GPS for general usage and touring on the bike.
But I also need the GPS for car work, infact it will almost certainly see much work in the car, as my current job involves a fair bit of driving and finding obscure locations at times. So easy to program routing on the unit, and easy operation are a must.

350LM is a good unit and cheaper than the 660, had all the Garmin and like the 350 :beerjug:

speed limits

Ash, cheers.. do you find the speed limit and camera info is accurate on it?

Not that I am lead footed, but I am spending more and more time driving around major urban areas, with constantly changing speed limits from 30 to 40s and twice in recent months found my self over the limit, without intent. Don't mind getting a ticket for being a prat.

Also, does the 350 use the same way of reporting distances etc to junctions?

And can you change the setttings so it gives you a totally top down view of maps. I don't want some silly bike icon. The simple triangle is quite sufficient for me.

I find the angled down view onto maps to be anouying, and prefer the old top down view.

if you can afford it I'd go for the 660. Fab little unit with all bells and whistles

bells and whistle..

True, but I don't need all the bells and whistle and I also want the newer of the two as the life time warranty is rigged for future compliance, so the 350 should last longer than the 660.

I have the volume up so when I hit a speed limit the unit bongs at me, so I know the correct limit :beerjug:

Seadog am favouring the 350LM, the 220 is nice, but I want a good screen for the bike and don't mind putting up with the bulk in the car.

Also again, its the newer unit, so should in theory, be supported longer than the 220 and the 660. But I could be proved wrong.

Question is, who is doing the best prices on the 350LM at the moment?

looked at it, but the routing etc is not as good for roads.
And maps are pricy for it.

I only want my GPS for road work. I have an old extrex for off roading that is more than required to follow way points. Though not offroading much for the moment.
