I would like to replace all the bleed nipples on my 1150GS (2002 ABS but not servo) with stainless easy bleed type.
Can I simply remove the old ones, fit the new ones, then mop up any spillage and bleed just from the calipers.
Or will braking into the system mean I will need to bleed the ABS module as well?
many thanks in advance :thumb2

unashamed bump, the replacement nipples have arrived, so I am going to chance just removing the old ones, fit the shiney new ones and bleed from the caliper....

Just how hard/slow can it be using the normal bleed nipples ???.

Undo half a turn, bleed, tighten - job done :D

I know, but the rear nipple has gone all crusty (bits were coming thru whilst bleeding, the fluid was clear in colour, so its (hopefully) just pulling bits of crud from the nipple when I bleed), and I must have shiney things.:)

Then fit a stainless bleed nipple and holder :thumb

Thanks for that, I only needed the nipple, but if anyone else needs to do this you can get them from fleabay, item number 260581701790, which saves a few quid over the usual parts suppliers.

The job (all 30mins of it) went without a problem. I used my mityvac as soon as I swaped the nipple over and no air made its way back to the abs pump. The original nipple on the rear calliper was really rusty inside and was the cause of the little rusty flakes coming through. :thumb2
