Advice please regarding replacing the O/S camchain tensioner on my 1150GS.

The O/S one is on the underside of the cylinder and thus needs only the exhaust header removing (done).

Any other thoughts?

SLM have said that I *simply* unscrew the old one and refit the new.

Perfect timing (no pun) for my particiaption in the MENCAP National Rally this weekend. <sigh>

R/h side is easy to replace although it's normally the l/h side that gets noisy & needs replacing?

Read the above links, IIRC you need to rotate the crank forwards by hand to take up any slack in the cam chain before removing either tensioner - I think it's the first link from memory (Poolside's).
