have

you doing a hard reset on the iPod? Just hold the home button and the power down together for about 10 seconds until the apple logo appears then release the buttons.

Cheers, done that, message then displays , "Ipod locked, please connect to iTunes" which is when the fun begins and keep going round in circles , hence the original post.:thumb2 John B

Had the same issues with my lad, he and his cousin has set up the pass code without permission. I went to amend his settings and couldn't and nor could he tell me the code. I went onto you tube where there were various suggestions but none worked. In the end I went to the settings and erased all content on the iPod - completely wiped it. Then back onto the main computer that is the master for our iTunes account (I think it is important to use the computer it is synch'd and backed up to) and then rebuilt it again. If I tried to use a previous back up it reinserted the pass code lock. So it has taught him a lesson as he has lost some of his previous content. Hope this helps.
