Speak to your local TRF group and flag it up to them, they will fight it (they already be aware,but check)
I'd contact the TRF. There's probably something on the Lincs County website.

I wonder why a feller from 40odd miles away is putting this application in ? A member of the gliding club perhaps ?

Yeah, that was my thought. For the amount of times bikes go down there, they want it all to themselves. Loads of lanes in this area, particularly parts of the Viking Way have been closed. This used to be a pretty long stretch of lanes you could patch together.
It's a shame their mum's didn't teach them to share when they were 3.
You could always send an email to the applicant and give him an alternative viewpoint.
It's funny, the people from here are very supportive of the bikes. Someone was whinging on the local group recently and most of the replies were along the lines of, "leave them alone, they're not harming anyone". Normal, local people who walk their dogs and enjoy their own surroundings are happy to share with bikes, cyclists and horses.
I once went out on a walk with the Ramblers because Mrs M was thinking of joining (she didn't in the end). We passed a MX track in action out near Barrowby and they all moaned about it. Even setting that aside, they were still a load of tossers.

I do a bit of offroading/greenlaning and always kinda worried about pissing people off when I cross them. I actually always had very positive interactions bar a few times.
I picked up hiking/walking recently, following a few hikes with colleagues – here south. Funnily enough I often end up walking alongside the same routes I do on the motorbike... and end up meeting bikers going through.
It usually lasts for 30 seconds tops.
Noise goes away after a minute.
All I can consider is that some bikes stink and that lasts a bit longer but... WTF... happens quite rarely.
There is thousands of paths where bikes are not allowed. If the above pisses off you so much, buy a fucking map with rights of way and choose the ones where bikes are not allowed.

Looks like it’s currently a UCR
The applicant may feel there has been an error or omission on the current mapping and I would be curious to know why. Is it simply because he feels it should be changed for what he feels is the better, it is not the same thing.

We actually put a few email templates together on our site you can use to send to the council for situations like this too.

A bit odd in that it already has a vehicle prohibition on it since 2024. The OS map for the area contains several mistakes, the ORPA dots north of the airfield are wrong as the UCR ends way before that and in any case didn't continue past the airfield so two dead ends.
Google street view have driven along the footpath and recorded it, that should at least be Restricted Byway not Bridleway.
There are a lot of applications in Lincolnshire (and everywhere else) driven by the cut off date for new applications and many councils saying that UCR's don't necessarily carry public rights as such so the Rambler etc started making claims to protect (our) their rights. This application was submitted in 2022 and I'd guess the applicant now wants to make it complient by issuing land owner notifications.
The applicant has been busy, I doubt the authority has the resources to process these. Devon TRf submitted hundreds pre NERC 2005 and we're still waiting for many to be looked at as the authority wants to complete the parish reviews first and then deal with them.

Doesn't surprise me they're stretched thin, seems to be the same everywhere. There's a TRO on a byway near me in Harrold/Odell that's been renewed every year since 2023 for "repairs" that never happen. I'd guess nobody actually has time to go back and review whether it still needs to be in place, easier to just tick renew than dig into it properly.
There are two Temporary TRO's in the area, both have now been reported on the TRf green road map. It's worth asking if the local authority have permission from the Secretary of State to extend them, or go and take some pictures as to what they're like now and ask why they're still closed. Some lanes in that area already have seasonal TRO's.
Devon has a proactive group of volunteers who repair lanes, either preventing TTRO's or bringing them back saving the authority thousands in the process and keeping routes open for all users.
It does'nt take much to imagine the type;;
