Still looking for a standard fly screen and headlight to fit to Bertha as I'm sorry but she is feck ugly :D:D

Don't think I'm being nasty, I told dad when bought her and he laughed and said "mmm maybe, but you get used to it, as long as you look at it whilst sitting on the seat" :D

Now, I'm tempted with the standard fly screen, but it won't be a patch on Berthas wind deflecting capability. So.....I was thinking another option would be the PD front end, but I don't know if it will work with the TT tank.

I'd love to restore her to her original spec with the Honda Baja headlights, but they are impossible to buy. SO....what have you guys got lying around that you'd be willing to part with??

Flip,

Don't forget Berthas original Speedo is in my bike. I'm replacing it soon with a new one so your welcome to it if you want it back.

Flip,

Why don't you try fitting a hi front mudguard. That should go a long way to making the fairing look more part of the bike. As is, I can't stop myself thinking of the expression 'chinless wonder'. :D

If you're worried about the weave issue sometimes experianced with the hi guards. fit a mudguard steady for an MX bike.

Val.

PS: the genuine speedo pod as fitted to the g/s and the 88-91GS are very expensive even second hand. Plus finding 5" headlights SH at a decent price is nigh on impossible.

I was thinking of a headlight similar to the XR250 Baja (which she had on her originally, or the single 8" like on the Suzuki Djebel, but they are both as rare as rocking horse poo.

I've been thinking of a high mudguard, but can't find a nice Black on in the right style.

I love the standard paralever front fly screen looks great but they still seem pretty hard to get hold of (especially in black). It obviously wouldn't be as effective at redicing the wind blast as the current set up either.

I just think she used to look better and would have looked great with the high mudguard and that light set up.
