Im sure your all fully aware about the issues i had with my 2013 bike and what happened.

So it was trailered back to Benhams with 6k on the clock, they insisted it be inspected by a senior bod from BMW, this was done with great detail, they actually went thro the bike with a fine tooth Comb, no doubt checking if any of my extras had caused the issue with the steering.

They (bmw) have not released there findings but do state there is a problem, BENHAMS have been fully behind me and took this matter to the top on my behalf, because BMW's first offer was appalling and so i really cannot Thank Andrew fearn from Benhams enough.

I've built a very good relationship with Benhams, no ranting or raving, just let them do as per whats required and left em to it.

The outcome.
A brand new 2014 TE bike fully loaded on the rd with no additional Costs to pay and for my troubles £1000 cash from BMW .

Now I've got to decide on colour.

Baby blue, royal mail red, thunder grey, or transit van white.

Cheers Dave.

.

Must be some (handling?) problem and they want/need to keep it quiet if they've given you a new bike and paid you off.

Nice one Dave, what a great outcome.:thumb:beerjug:

That blue colour has grown on me, I must say.:rob:D

Well done & £1000 to spend on a trip in 2014

Jammy git

Seriously you did it by the book

They said the payment was for my inconvenience, and neither does BENHAMS no the outcome of the inspection, they don't release there findings, needless to say I'm one happy punter and I'm keeping my RED panels from the bike and thinking about having a blue bike than i can swop blue to red when i feel like it.

Good result:thumb. Beats the deal on my second one:blast:D

I am amazed... Bet bum will be happy reading this, suspect there will be a few 2013 owners beating a path to their dealers door after reading this!!

Just curious, would they have refunded you the cost of the bike plus the 1k had you preferred ?

Twizzle, my issues was probably more serious than what most have experienced and the inconvenience this had caused myself.

I cannot answer that ! but tbh my next step was officially rejecting the bike and at that point id have been happy with the invoice refunded in full, and that would have been a result because i would have not lost the ££££ depreciation that a new bike loses and would have covered there £1k offer.

I do feel BMW and Benhams have looked after me in a far superior way than than say Ducati would !

Got to admit for a manufacture to replace bikes regardless is outstanding and one of the reasons why i give them my repeat business.

Another very good reason to build up a good relationship with your dealer.:thumb

It's good to hear this sort of news and reassuring that BMW do care about thier customers when things go a bit wrong,

Nice one:beerjug:

Quite apart from their fabulous bikes my interactions with my dealer (Vines) are one of life's great pleasures and the reason I only ride BMWs.

Well done on a great result and I hope you love the new bike.
