Retro fit TPM

Has anyone tried to retro fit TPM (Tyre Pressure Monitor) on a 04 - 06 bike, not factory prepared Can it be done?

I'd guess it'd be nearly impossible to integrate everything new into the old bike's electronics, software and display system. I'd also suggest that even if you were intensely determined the costs involved might make simply buying a new 2010 bike the cheaper option.
