I know this may well divide opinion, but I quite like this:
I think I'd rather get a tatty '05 and put the kit on than go for a new R9T
A number of options available: http://www.unitgarage.com/kit_r120_gs

Thanks for that. Have to say I never caught the original post, although I did have a search before posting.
I really like the concept, although I can see many others not. It seems to me far more faithful to the original R80G/S concept (and I would always have been happier with a seperate fuel tank than the plastic affair hidden in the bowels of the 1200).
Whether being faithful to the R80G/S is good or not, is of course open to debate.
I'm quite keen to make one up! So if anyone has a dogged and scrapped SC kicking around, I may be interested. It would have to be a keeper then as I doubt if it would be particularly saleable for the money invested!

Your Airhead is much better...............apart from those ugly Acerbis tanks and the 3,4 or 5l of fuel that is unusable in the bottom corners!

Good point! Although, my airhead cost nearly four times what it would cost to have this little 1200GS Scratcher!
