Now that my bike is up and running again (had to replace gearbox & shaft - https://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php/571509-Clutch-gearbox-issue-No-2nd-gear-upwards), I need to upgrade my alarm.

I am curently using a US made Scorpio SRX-900 but after 4 years of having it installed on the bike, it became very erradic and only works whenever it likes.

I am considering buying a second hand alarm control unit (BMW part 77538554348) from motorworks (https://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=6&Q=77538554348&search=SEARCH) and using the Motoscan app to code it in.

Has anyone done this before? I know that the Motoscan app can activate OE retrofits as I have seen the menu in the past.
I saw some other posts in the forum but couldnt find an answer.

Thanks Winjar, looks like something straight forward that I should be able to do using the motoscan app.
Ended up ordering the alarm unit from Canada and a relative visiting will bring it over next week.
I will report back once i got the unit and try to install.
