+ Stock seat being reupholstered
+ LED indicators
+ Edge-2 tail light (sub frame grinded down to fit)
+ Clarke tank in black
+ Frame guards SS

earthmover ... this bike was already stolen from me last year but I found it before the thieves got it away. Since then I installed a Meta immob using different install points. It's not going to be hotwired this time.

mikeP ... had the Dakar and it was nicked. Didn't really like it anyway, too fat and underpowered. A very boring bike.

For the kind of money your going to end up spending why not just buy an X Challenge with about 500 miles on the clock from a BMW dealer for about £4000. Add some luggage, a bit of TT crap and away you go, reliable biking.

I've been contemplating what to get next. On a Monday I'm yearning for my old 1150GS. On Tuesday I've talked myself into getting the Adv as it's not much more after all. By Wednesday I remember pulling the ****er out of the snow two year ago

I believe people are going to be surprised by this attempt - I'm not trying to make the bike a bike and a supply vehicle in one. I'm also doing lots of research before adding things.

As for the 650 comments, the DRZ gets to 70 faster. I loved it when I got it but one trip away and I thought it wasn't for me. The 1150 was a much better bike and not that much heavier, at least it wasn't as top heavy.

As for the 650 comments, the DRZ gets to 70 faster.

Snoops... 0 to 70mph is of no consequence whatsoever when you're crossing deserts or on the mountain roads
