Both the Rev counter and Speedo are misting up in wet weather on my '82 R100RS, is there a cure?

watching this thread with interest - but looks like there isn't a cure :augie

Move to Morocco ? :augie

Water is probably getting in around the trip-reset button :blast

They will eventually dry-out in the summer, then replace the reset button cover.

Did we ever find a source for them ??? :nenau

Bob.

Yes we can get them replaced by Hendersons in the states and he has agreed a bulk buy discount.
Just needs me to get my arse into gear and arrange it.

water can get in past the headlight surrounding rubber and into the headlight speedo casing - there it will evaporate to somewhere/anywhere its not needed for sure - like the inside of the speedo - I think -

I have closed the front air slits on me r100 fairing to stop water/rain blowing through and sitting on the speedo then seeping down through a poor seal on reset button

It still steams up !! :blast :rob

Now, there's a thought. I haven't bothered to fix the rubber bellows/seals whatever you call them between the forks and the fairing on the RS. They are roughly in position, it's just that I don't know which adhesive to use, I don't want anything permanent that will be awkward to remove when I need to work on the forks.

So I'll try that. :thumb2
