Rev Counter Panel Marked By Power Lead

A little off topic but it is related to this GPS. I have the Navigator 3 attached above the clocks. I discovered yesterday that about 5 past on the rev counter there is a small groove right on the edge (the part you can clearly see) which looks like it's been cause by the loose power lead for the GPS rubbing on it when the GPS was not fitted. I'm annoyed to say the least cause I take care of my stuff and I would not have expected the power lead to be able to do this? I know this is a long shot but has anyone had similar problem? Apart from new clocks (which is rediculas) can this plastic panel be repaired or is it live with it? I know you can buy instrument surrounds but at nippy normans they are £95 and to be honest I like the original look rather than covering it up!

My ears have overcome! Probably going to get the Shoei Multitec for the Autocom soon but want to get the headers replaced first to make my GS nippier. It's all about priorities.

Rang BMW today and I can buy the face plate for the clocks as it comes off but costs £114

£114 - That's a lot for a mark.

Tie the power lead of the way.... and try a breakers for a second hand surround if it bothers you... Breakers or similar

Well thats OK then - for you! My bike is brand new and things like this irritate me I'm afraid.

The bike I sold had small grooves from the cables, it doesn't bother me either
