Rev it , Aerostich , Olympia , Rukka ,

Eh? ...............just had a new jacket in year 4.

Someone mentioned you need to show your original receipt? :nenau

The one you get from my local Rukka store is one of those glossy paper and thermal printing jobbie .... like you get in Tesco. That ink last for about one year ...

.. so how did you get a new jacket (in terms of proof of purchase)?

Feck me Tom, ask for a receipt of purchase, not a till receipt.

That way we won't be having to answer your questions for the next five years.

They don't have those :rob

Infinity staple the till receipt to a little infinity leaflet and give that to you as your proof of purchase. I mentioned it to the sales person and they looked at me like I was an alien??

Hein Gericke Master V suit. It's £850 because it's a Gore-Tex Pro-Shell Laminate, but mine has kept me 100% dry, warm through winter and cool in 35 degree heat. It too has a 5 year guarantee.
Pro-Shell in Rukka costs £1400 although that also come with Cool Black, a coating that reflects the suns heat.
I had Halvarssons but it leaked, was heavy and didn't breath as well as Gore-Tex.
I tried on Rukka as I wanted the market leader but the trousers didn't fit comfortably.

Rev-It for me. I've been usigng their gear for the last year, through all weathers, and it's extremely comfortable and warm. I did have a slight water ingress issue but no problem in getting it replaced through my local supplier The Motorcycle Clothing Centre, Wymondham, Norfolk, www.motorcycle_clothing.co.uk, no receipts asked for. They said that Rev-It would want to inspect the clothing as this fault is rare but even without inspection Rev-It agred to replace the gear no questions asked.
Now that's the sort of service I like from both retailer and manufacturer.

+1 for rev'it.

I have the off track jacket and dakar pants and love them. Only thing I would do different is the color choice.

I have the jacket in grey-red and pants i grey-black. The grey is a very light color and looks great I think, but it also makes the suit look very dirty pretty quick.

Next time I'm getting a new suit I want it in darker colors.

But other then that its a great suit I love it :thumb2

I keep my eye out and buy last years or discontinued models. Spending 1400 smackers on a suit is against my religion. I still have 100% water proof gear (Alpinestars). Jacket cost me 100 euros Trogs were 200e's. So far (one and a half years later) still warm, still water proof and they owe me nothing. If I bugger up the clothing, I can tilt my head back and laugh heartily. If I'd just snagged my 1400 quid suit on a rusty nail in the garage i'd need medication.

hein gericke make alot of decent budget priced kit too ,checkout ride magazine:thumb2

Has anyone else got the Hein Gericke Master V suit and is it hard wearing enought to cope with both on and off road use? It certainly has good reviews from MCN, Ride and a couple of police biker guys I asked also said to get the Master V too. For the price it's very dull to look at and very black.

:blast:blast:blast the receipt I've got was filed away day one and is still fine.

Anyway, I can say that Infinity Motorcycles have always asked me if I have the receipt, but never actually asked for it when I've taken my jacket in for repair.

Its a pukka 5yr guarantee.
