Revamped Touratech Hugger....

Hi Shedracer...

Two days in the rain (400 miles) and the back end of the 'bike was certainly dirtier than my mates 1200GS without a hugger, but the dirty pants are cured, so it certainly works forward of the hugger. Back of the boots get shitty, but not as bad as before.

Another pal has the new Pyramid Hugger, looks great, well made, and at least fifty quid cheaper....

Micky....

Any chance your mate has some pic's of the new Pyramid hugger? :thumb

Is that the one with the Stainless Steel arm, that fits on the rear caliper?

Yup... I'll try to get a piccie Saturday if I get a chance. If I remember rightly it goes well down at the front, lower than the rear suspension mount, but being as it's fastened to the rear caliper it moves in relation to the swing arm!

Mates new Pyramid Hugger... make your own minds up folks. I believe you can get it in carbon fibre too!

Not sure about the hugger, but those Wilbers sure do look good. :thumb

How does it affect the rear brake with useing the caliper bolts, I thought the 1200 is different from the 1150 in the way the caliper slides with wear, and after a bit of wear the caliper with contact with the hugger mount

Dunno... guess the caliper bolts are simply replaced with ones with a thread down the middle for the hugger to be bolted to!

If I was going to have a hugger mounted to the rear drive unit I guess I'd go for the Motorrad Concepts version...
