I just bought a Schuberth C2 off a fine fellow on this website and thought I would review for the benefits of other Tossers.
A bit of background. I passed my test 18 months ago and have done 10,000+ on my 1200 GS. Initially, I had a second hand full face Shark helmet which I bought cheap along with some used gear. Unfortunately I dropped it so it needed replacing.
I did loads of research on here and elsewhere and decided on the GSers favourite Arai Tour-x. While it fitted well, I liked the looks and the visibility was great it had several major draw backs for me. Mainly it is very noisey and the visor fogs all too easily. I fitted a Shoei Wisper kit as recommended on here which improved the matter but not sufficiently, so it had to go.
I have just done a 320 mile trip with the Schuberth, story told here.

I am very impressed.
Plus points
-definitely a quiet helmet. I initially forgot to put my plugs in and it was a while before I noticed. I then fitted them and very quite indeed.
-the build in sun visor is fantastic, I have no idea why every helmet does not have this. It is easy to slid down when the sun is in your eyes or generally bright and when it is dark just push back. Must be fantastic for going thru all these alpine tunnels.
-ventilation is excellent. You can noticibally feel the air coming in when you open either the top vent or the mouth vent. But better than that it has a "City Mode", when the visor pops forward giving fresh air over your face without it getting in your eyes.
-Full range of ventilation is, from maximum to minimum
-visor open, sun visor up
-visor open, sun visor down
-visor closed but popped into city mode
-visor completely closed but face and head vents open
-visor closed and all vents closed.
Minus points
-this is my first flip lid and they are not as easy to put on or take off than a full face. However you don't take them as often so this is not really a problem
-the flip lid release is a bit sticky so needs more pressure than you might expect to flip the lid
-the wind skirt round the neck, which is the key to the quiet helmet is a pretty neat fit. I have a long thin neck and although after 11 hours in the saddle I could feel minor rubbing, it was not an issue. I am not sure a thick necked person would be as happy.
Overall I am incredibly impressed. The build quality is very high and clearly the helmet thoughtfully designed.
For me the best feature is the sun visor, closely followed by the quietness of the helmet.
Hope this review proves useful to some.
