Switched on this evening to head home from work. Only the clock showed on the RID. Of late, that's not unusual, but fixed by a switch-off and back on. But not this evening.

Home now. Checked the fuses but of course if the clock is on the the fuse must be OK. Confirmed my thinking when removing the fuse...

So before I get things apart (it'll have to wait until the weekend) is it fecked or does this sound like a connector block issue? That's what I'm hoping.

Thoughts welcome!

Had that happen to me a couple of weeks ago in France when staying with Tank, take out no3 fuse and then replace not blown but it reset RID no probs since

Jeremy. Thanks to you I just went out and changed the fuse for the heck of it (the existing fuse looked absolutely fine by the way). Everything appears to now work. Feck knows what that old fuse was doing if I could run the clock but not the rest!

I'll report back tomorrow to confirm it really did work!

Cheers!

Rodin you will find that the old fuse is fine it is just the action of removing and replacing the fuse will reset the RID, in my case it was due to heat generated from HID ballast units.
Cheers Jeremy

Is now behaving. So thanks for your post Jeremy, it prompted me to check the fuse. It was rather warm here yesterday and where the bike is parked it was even warmer, so I'm guessing it was the heat!
