RID = Rather Intriguing Display

Just a quickie - Had a great couple of days down on the Isle of Wight this weekend. I went to start my 04 GSA 2500 miles, when I noticed the clock was slowly counting up at a rate of 1 minute per second. I couldn't reset it at all. When i started to ride the bike, the rid then started counting up 1 bar at a time on both temperature and fuel displays. This whilst cheerfully informing me that I was in ninth gear! - It seems to have sorted itself out now but perplexing all the same. Any ideas?

Deselect the 'warp-drive' control. You'll find it at the RH end of the handlebars...

Have you pressure washed the bike recently - this happened to me the one and only time I did and how is your battery - this will play games with the RID as well ......failing that how did you find the 9th gear was it an over-over-over-over drive ?
