Changed my fuel filter recently at 36 k.No previous inaccuracy with RID.Thought I had reassembled incorrectly and had to go through the full process again.Worked when it suited itself thereafter.Traced fault/remedy to that suggested by Beacon,poor connection at plug on Right side of tank.Now works as it always did prior to my meddling i.e Shows all bars until 60 miles then total mileage of 220 per/tank until fuel light.Apparently removal of fuel filter unit can also render arm on guage subseptable to damage and cause incorrect reading,but you probably know that!
