Gents will be making plans to meet up with Norrrie in the next month with routes and looking at going around 01/07/16 as if we go later towards the end of this month most of Europe goes on holiday and it's bloody utter mad at boarder crossing

I went through Romania and Bulgaria to Greece a couple of years ago. Well worth doing. Crossing the Danube was particularly memorable

I am able to take up to 4 weeks off work for a one time long distance european tour next year and want to visit as many countries as I can during this trip. I would be interested in your trip, but not blasting down motorways to get there. I am in Scotland so would be a ferry from Newcastle to Holland then south through:
Belgium, France, Switzerland and Austria (The Alps), Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia Herz, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Turkey (Istanbul), Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary (Friends in Budapest), Slovakia, Poland, Czech Rep, Germany and home...

I also can take extended leave and like your intended route. No motorways/auto routes is my preference.

Hi, my plans for the summer have fallen through.
Could be very tempted with this, however I can,t set off before the 5th of June.
Would be more than happy to get to Bulgaria alone and meet up there.
Or if anybody else with similar dates wants to join up.

I have been keeping my eye on it.

To all sorry for the delay regarding this trip but had a few set backs last year (4 deaths in the family) after getting married!!!
Am looking at leaving UK on the 1st July give or take a few days and taking 3-4 weeks to do the trip.
Need to start planning routes with Norrie, I will be camping going down and back except when in Bulgaria as There are a few hotels we can stay in very cheap with pools and bars.
There is still an option to get bikes to BG on a van for people with less time.
Let me know who is still up for this ride to Bulgaria

I'm sure there are others who can only do the 2 weeks, I would prefer the hotel option rather than camping myself.
I'm out of the country next week so will try and tie up with Neil when I get back

If you scroll back through the posts you may get your answer at one point there were 27 individuals showing an interest, that may have changed with events in that part of the World.
At this point of intime I'm not sure of my departure point it maybe from here in the North or possible somewhere in the Home Counties.
