slight problem

Thought I would give the bike a wee run tonight and guess what, hit the starter button and yup you guessed it, sod all :nenau Pretty sure the battery is in good condition (the bike's only been laid up in the garage for about eight weeks) can only put it down to the digital clock draining the battery. It will be o/k for Saturday though :thumb

An enjoyable day gents, I’ve posted some more piccies on this thread.

The roads were a bit slippy ! And there was fresh grit over the Lecht/ Granton area that made it, well………..interesting.
Did everyone get home ok ? Sign in and say hello. :thumb

11 bikes turned up. No' bad for a dreich day in January. :)

After a cold, wet run up the A9 for the meeting at Blair Atholl, it was great to sit in front of roaring coal fire and drink hot coffee. This hotel is a "must stop" for me. Six bikes then headed over Moulin Moor to brighter skies at Glenshee. A braw denner was had by all (and Den who turned up at the Spittal). Just as we were about to leave, bgfinlay, Smirky and their mate (sorry, I'm terrible with names...ask my son, Wee Adolf  ), arrived and joined us for a ride over to Ballater where we split up and the Dundee, Perth and Fife crew headed over by Aboyne and splendid roads over to Fettercairn/Edzell and home. G.C. and Floyd took the road over by Tomintoul to get hame. I did 254 miles :D

Yet again, a great day oot with great company. Thanks gents :thumb

Here's a few Ronno type photies from today...

Sadly Missed ye all. I was the GS arriving as you turned left towards bremar from the Spittal.

A stop for tyres in Crief was followed by an ABS Failure, could I remember how to reset the ABS... eventually found a laptop in a garage and got onto the web to seek salvation.

performed the reset and everything was back as it should be but that lot took an hour so I arrived at the spittal at 13:30 just in time to see a group of about 6 or 7 bikes turning north. Did think about tagging on but I was hank marvin by that time and decided to grab some nosh..

All in all about 260Miles by the time I got back to Sunny East Kilbride. Even though we didn't meet up I had a hoot.

Where Next, I'll try and be on time :beerjug:

Sorry we missed you Triton, I saw you and held back a bit, but when you turned up to the Spittal, I carried on. There was 10 GS`s in total, my 650 an 1100, two 12`s and 6x 1150`s (common as muck them :dabone )
Bad luck with the breakdown, do you ride a 12 ???????? ;)

Next time bud.
Cheers

Cheers G C,
Saw you slowing down but I was famished at that point and in need of a cuppa.

No 1200 yet, it's the 1150 or my hayabusa when I'm out for a run. but I do like the look of the new 1200 adv.

may save my pennies and ditch the jap crap..

Cheers

Saw someone turning into the Spittal in my mirrors as we left but couldn't make out what sort of bike it was. Sorry about that.
If Smirky, Stewart and myself had been 2 minutes later we'd have missed the others too.
See you next time :thumb
