Actually it's Las Vegas and the view from my hotel window. I thought that the cheesy Eiffel Tower would give it away. Having a spot of luxury after camping for a week. Going to the Boulder Dam today then moving on.
Tyre wear is scary. I left the UK with Mefo rear and TKC 80 front - travelled 8500 miles on these and there was lots left when I changed them for the standard Pirelli Scorpions in Chile (all I could get). Managed to get TKC 80s in Peru (needed them on some of the roads) but could only get the Scorpions for the next two sets. Now have Mefo front and rear from Denver so I'm a lot happier.
Also used one chain and sprocket set, one rear brake rotor and one front brake rotor (other one is fine). The "rivets" on the floating disc wear and give excessive play. Now on my third set of brake pads.
Apart from standard oil changes, filters etc. thats all the bike has used - serviced every 4500 miles so not cheap to do.
I'm sure my 1200 would have done just as well but would have been so heavy to pick the three times I've had to so far.

You gotta take what you can get. Still, you'll be our resident expert on return. As for picking up the 1200GSA - simple. Hang around until help comes. No matter how isolate the road someone has always come along
Keep the news coming. I've just realised I haven't had a holoday/trip for nearly two years now. Weddings!!! But I'm still on a high after Abigail's
Peter would love to come but as you know I'm elsewhere. Here is a shot from our window ......... can you guess the hotel and city?
KTM now done 29,000 miles on this trip and on my sixth set of tyres.
