It is the only time that I have ever been to Avergavenny and seen NO other bikes

I think all of the sports bikes are already in hibernation

M48 Old Severn Crossing was closed to bikes for us Brizzles homeward bound and the new crossing was fierce :D

Great turn out with the weather, it was well worth the effort to get out, and good to meet you all, thanks to rob for entertaining us back at his place,
hope the floor soon dry's out :thumb2

Thanks for letting me tag along Dave, ( I owe you one tea the next time we meet) also Rob thank you for the tea and use of the toilet at your place (very local), Traffic was sh*t on the motorway stopped raining for the last 5 miles. Great run out,
.
Cheers
Rick

Sorry I let you down guys but it was hammering down at home this morning and I felt being a novice i could well have ended up
slowing you guys down around those country lanes in the wet.

I got my come uppance though, went shopping at Cribbs with SWMBO and her daughter :blast bleeding nightmare,
i bought a bike magazine and sat in the car with a Starbucks.........:D

Saw you all leaving the severn bridge atabout 11.05(ish) and very impressive you all looked, if slightly damp.:clap:bow:clap

Hopefully make the next one, whenever that is.........

no probs mate it were a bimble, one of the other guys had not long passed his test
so dont panic you wouldnt of held anyone up, probly wait till it snows next time :thumb2

I arrived ten minutes after you had all departed, set off in pursuit, thought I might find you along the way, the wind on the bridge was 'interesting' , I seriously feared I wouldnt make it across. Then decided to head for Ross to pick up the route back to Bath. So, sorry I missed the ride but now I know how the EXPs handle the wet and windy!!! Can we have nice weather next time please? During the whole route I saw just two other bikes!!!

Hi Goughie, Is your GS yellow? if so we saw you leaving the motorway to go in the Services, unfortunately i had no way of telling you the guys
had just left the bridge into Chepstow, we were going t'other way :blast if you had known and went straight over the bridge you'd have
caught them, I bet they were only 5 mins in front of you at that point :(

Hey Buz, you missed a good one.

My mate Alex passed his test last month after 35yrs off, bought a Varadero 2 weeks ago.
Came along for the day, I think he cacked his pants over the bridge but then had a ball.
WE aint so bad, happy for all to join in, dont have to impress by being flash:augie
See you on the next one when the weather is really bad:thumb2

I kept up so it must be easy and let's face it - it's gotta be cheaper to drop your bike than spend a day in Cribbs Causway.

Cheers mate , that was me! If I'd got my arse into gear in the first place, I wouldn't have missed the boat!!

Hey fellas :thumb2

Great to meet you all today. And even though the weather was shite, It was a blast and i thoroughly enjoyed myself. :clap

Fair play to Alex on the Varadero:bow, even though we had a mix of experience levels, the pace was more than fast enough for me in those conditions.:rob

Oh, and I can recommend these Karroo 2 knobblies. They impressed me with there grip levels today. Far more stable than TKC’s, IMHO:thumb. Mind you I had the traction control and ABS kick-in a few times.

Yep, we must do it again, when it’s snowing.

Over the next few days I’ll hopefully put up the best bits of the video I did.
Here are some pics for now….
