On that rideout I'd just got the bike and was still "ironing out" the pannier system. It didn't have a quick release system so I left 'em on for that ride. Since then I bought thinner panniers and different frames, not because it's more convenient, but to muffle the whiners.

I'll be taking my DSLR for the ford so should get some really decent shots.
