Could not pass this by - a conversation on another site

Question -
I purchased my new 2006 1200 GS in July. The stock seat in the low
position was a bit high for my 5' 8" body, especially wiith a
passenger.

Answer-
Hi XXX.. I bought a 2006 Adventure and found out I too was a little bit short for it. I took my Alpine star boots to a local shoe shop and had them install extra thick soles with heavy lugs on the bottom. It solved my problem and created a really cool pair of boots...Good luck.

oh eck - someone has some of my waterproofs welded to their bike - when I got home I found my knee had a hole in caused (I presume) by extreme heat exposure! thats £80 for another set then :(

Good ride - even if Tel didnt know where we were most of the time - I think you'll notice no one got left behind though!!:thumb :thumb

me been me ....todays outing was a little test for my winter riding gear for road bike.

So who would be up for a days blast ( ride into the mountains ) idealy Wales which makes it a easy one for most of us to do...BUT when it's got loads of snow on them ...in other words when most of the UK has had a right old down poor of the white stuff head for the hills.. any takers:D mugs even??

Stop patting each other on the back and instead lets thank Brian (Newbie) and Ian for coming down from Blackburn, and Simon & Thomas ( ashylad & son ) for joining in the fun. I have never ridden in such poor visibility as we saw over the high peaks! Even with all those LEDS on the back I still lost sight of Brians GSA SE:eek

Matlock after the fish and chip lunch....look closely and you can see the rain picked out in the light from Brians GSA. Why wasnt Terry on this shot?

Thanks for a good day out, pity about the weather! Hope you all got home safely and not too wet.

Hope to catch you all in 2007.

Brian
