Hi guys

Do any of you have a favourite rideout route you'd like to share with the readers of RiDE Magazine?

We're looking for great routes to include in our Readers' Rides section of the mag.

We need your route length, duration, step by step directions and some great photos too as well as a few words on why your route is great.

Fame awaits!

Anyone interested then please drop me an email: [email protected]

Ride safe!

Are we talking on road or off road?

Don't tell her anything until she coughs up a tenner to be a site sponsor!!! Come to that, while RIDE magazine has it's purse open, they can chip in for Scooters Across the Sahara. The Pink Way Round and Tsiklonaut's T-Bone too!!!! :thumb

Sadly, most of my favourite rides have been completely ruined by the antics of sportsbike riders, often encouraged by magazine 'expert contributers' .
So unfortunately I'm keeping the few remaining good ones to myself.

Gosh. I'm quite shocked at that reply. It's sad for biking as a whole that you feel like that.

Anyway - either road or 'off road' routes are fine - as long as pics and directions are good, which I'm sure they will be!

And thanks for the link, I'll check it out.....!

Site sponsor - We could do that - seeing as two of our staff members currently ride GSs ...... :bounce1 :bounce1

hi Emm
Hope you're keeping OK - better keep the route 'on road' though eh, particularly if you turn up in a Skoda!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sherps ;)

Hi John!

Good to hear from you! I'm very well thanks!

At the moment we're just using submitted pictures rather than going out and photographing them ourselves, at the moment (people seem very relucatant to take us on ride outs at this time of year!) So Hippo's Skoda can stay at home!

Come on Emm don't use that as an excuse - some of the best rides are in the Winter when all the crotch rocket wuss's have put their bikes to bed!

We have a Xmas run arranged for a dealership in Lincolnshire - why not join us for a leisurely lunch and grab some great pics. whilst youre at it?

Well, get the purse open Emma, and while you're at it, the Pink Way calendar would be a great improvement to any journo's office. Oh, and don't forget the Scooters in the Sahara too! At least give us a free plug! Come on, you know it makes sense! :thumb

Why are you shocked at this reply..? and how could it possibley be bad for 'biking' as a whole..?

I know some great roads where I live (Suffolk) but I wouldn't want them to end up like Steeple Bumpstead.. (Go there and speak to a resident)

Absolutely not interested in giving you any info on my favourite roads, your publication and others from the EMAP fold completely fcuked up the B660 (Beds. / Cambs boarder) because you told all the dickheads about it. Now it's covered in restrictive speed limits.

Why don't you stick to glove tests

Saying "no" and leaving it at that, might have been a bit more polite?

Part of the fun is trying to find the 'good' roads yourself.

I agree with what's been said here - too much publicity has been given to the 'good' roads which have since been spoilt by nutters coming in on the weekends causing havock all over the place.

IMHO, one of THE best roads in North Wales is the A55 and the M4 in the South. Stick to these two roads and you can't go wrong, especially if you're heading east :P

lazy journalism IMO
Not just lazy but also CHEAP. They just want to fill the publication at the least cost.
Still not become a site sponcer.
Parasites

I feel I was quite restrained. If you knew what has happened to a good riding road you might feel aggrieved as well.

Shall we move this to the Forum Rant section!

Don't see the need as the questions been asked and negative response given.
Enough said I think.

Wok jockey's stay out of Wales I think most of us would prefer it that way.

Lets not widen the debate.
