Re my switch problems, how do you dismantle the right hand switchgear? I can't figure out how to get the starter/kill switch off to get the body apart.

two screws takes the bottom cover of and inside are two more screws to remove the switchgear. don't forget to unplug the heated grips.

Thanks, I've got that far but how do you get to the micro switches, getting the starter and kill switch off to allow access?
We had a sticky under the 'Bikes' section, but many of the images have been lost (blame photobucket). Try from post #23 onwards: -
If you have this happen...
....you'll need one of these:
..or a new switch cluster priced £137.01
So, loosen handguard and rotate out of the way, undo 2 x T10 screws:
You have to apply the front brake to get enough room to get the cover off.
Stare at result.....realise you don't have any Torx bits small...
