Off to Oman bukhrah, in'shallah.
Going for a week with a Greek chap from (consulate) shoulda said Embassy - here. He has K1200RS so it will be on-road - mostly!
Abu Dhabi tomorrow night, then on to Muscat.
I want to see Sur and Al Ashkharah. Also Nizwa, Ibri and mountains.
Love to see Salalah but too far this time.
Dreaming to go there since I read Sinbad the Sailor (Tim Severin), must read it again!
Bye for now!
Bin

I remember so well going across the desert to Jeddah with my dad in a landcruiser aged 15, I would love to be out there again on a bike. Have a great trip and take lots of photos.

Wow!
Have a great time.
Look forward to some piccies too :thumb2

Just back from Oman / UAE, great trip, 5250kms in the week. Will post the photos soon.
Bloody bike - boring or what!! Could not shake off the top box, could not even add oil!!
For feck sake.
Tyre is a bit squared off but the road from Al Kharj to the border was drawn with a ruler, and laid the same way. 200kms in a straight line.

BTW, there is an overhead railway being put into Dubai, it looks like they are working on the full length (20 - 30 kms ?) all at once. Be a lesson for some of our shower to git their ass out their to see what can be done.

Great trip - did I say that? Recommend Oman, winding roads in the mountaisn with racetrack grip, and any amount of tracks going off into the distance.

One of our guys there is doing an off-road bike lap of Oman in a week or so, should be interesting!

!!

Nice pics Bin :thumb2

Can't wait for the write up :augie

Some of those tracks look good. Did you do much of them ?
