Road King Classic with M8 engine

Ok here's the plan.

1. Attend launch event with dice in my hand.

2. Clap wildly at the trumpet fanfare and dramatic unveiling ceremony.

3. Throw the dice. 1= WG plus cash 2= EG plus cash 3= Wait for 2018 frame update. 4/5/6= throw again until I get a 1 or 2 or maybe a 3.

Now just need to find my personal invite. I get so many from various motorcycle dealers. :D

Swop the EG and WG in now for the M8 - wait 12 months agonise then swop M8 for frame update... M8FU.....:augie

Whilst stressing about trading the GSALC for a 2017 1290SA.....

Maybe leasing would make sense, just turn it in after a year maybe two and ride out on the new one?

They haven't offered a RK Classic over here for years but I sure like tubeless tyres and not having spokes.

Leasing deals on HD in the UK are poor..... 10.9% interest.... the RK is around £19.5k with interest over the term it adds over £3,500!!!!

Funny that we get both, with the hard bag/alloy wheel model being cheaper then the soft bag/ spoked version!

Good point Clifton but as the lanky one said there is fierce interest on PCP deals with Harley's in the UK. Plus jackass dave would never talk to me again because he only likes people who deal in hard cash.

So maybe on second thoughts... :nenau

I have thrown my launch invite in the bin so will not be getting an M8 RK this term as have decided to wait on the M8 MU instead. Sorry to waste anyone's time. Let's hope it won't be a long winter eh? :D

I'm waiting for the old snotter to grenade.......then I'll decide/procrastinate/fantasise/bore/do nothing then....

Didn't have to bin my invite - didn't get one reckon I'm black listed...:augie

As a matter of interest, what's the rate in the US? ( see what i did there!)

Business as usual then. I can't wait for your next thread for this. :D

fuck off...

I'm buying a blacked out Dyna - which I'm gonna strip down/bore out and rag it everywhere making a nuisance of myself........

Your long teeth, nails and spinal hair are starting to grow. Stop getting angry while you can. :thumb

Please say that this might happen as it sounds good. :thumb

The WG is going more black as we speak and when it reappears in the light of day in a few weeks time will look the bollocks. :bounce1

This will happen - just need to get this bollocking house move behind me!!

If it's gonna grenade, it'll do it when it's chasing junk to Spain.

10% interest built into a lease would certainly make that unattractive. To be honest I don't know what interest they factor into a lease, or purchase for that matter? I see a lot of car manufacturers offering 0% which of course they are subsidizing but even through a bank I seem to hear mentioned interest is no more than 5%.

I don't see Snotter grenading and if it did you'd have to repair it to be able to sell. But once fixed why sell? Is there room in your new garage for three bikes? :-)

Tricky have we decided on colour and configuration yet? The only 2017 RK I've seen was very bright orange. I need to go to their site and see this years other colours, other than Vivid Black.

I think they're doing it in silver too which to my eyes looks quite nice. A bit more reserved than some of their more gaudy stuff.

Clifton, in the UK HD has a deal with a UK bank for finance, it's the worst rate out of the major manufactures...BMW is 3.9% KTM 2.9%.... some of the Japanese makes often offer 0%...... The rate stacked with the high purchase price is a challenge even with the differed GMFV payment.

The red (if it's similar to that offered for 2014) looks great on a Road King.

What is GMFV?
I just checked Harley's site, 7.49% so financing a 2017 RK $18,999 is $348.40 a month for 6 years or $25,084.80!:eek Suzuki is 0% for 3 years but only on "some" models. Auto financing at the bank is 2.44% for 5 years so Harley seems to be making 5% on their money when they finance.
