What with all the snow, the DRZ has been pressed back into service for commuting

the old non legal moto x tyres are shagged and the mooses have shrunk

any recommendations for a set of road legal moto x tyres

will be going back to the green lanes, minimal road use, mud and chalk off road, occasional sand

AC10s are road legal but might be a bit wild for road use (though I used to run em on my old LC4 640 ok, as I long as I remembered not to trail brake whilst cornering)

There is no better combination than that Mitas Tyres can supply:-

Front C-19
Rear CO2

A pair is about £70.
Keep pressures between 15 to 18 psi.
Use rimlocks on both wheels with heavy duty inner tubes. Avoid ultra heavy duty tubes.

Timpo.

+1 for AC10s. They won't last all that long on the black stuff but work well off it and are 100% legal. In fact I think my DRZ-400S came with them as standard.

Why do you suggest avoiding ultra heavy duty tubes Timpo?

+3 for the Mitas. Although a novice to the off road scene, the ones on my DRZ 400 handled superb last week in the Peak. Were fine on the ride back to Doncaster too. I looked at the AC10's as our Police off road crime team run them. That said the DR came with the Mitas so that saved me about£120 a pair ( Including fitting and removing wheels cos i'm crap)

am having a great time commuting to work, wished i had read the replies before i ordered a set of VEE RUBBER VRM211

did see the Mitas rubber but kept thing of a CZ so didnt order them :blast

only trouble is they wont arrive as quickly as i need them due to the snow

What size tyres do you order for the DRZ Timpo?

Thanks

Agreed, very hard wearing and apart from a bit of a weave at speed good for road use as well. I picked up three for under 90 quid delivered.
