Road trip

when I opened roadtrip it posted that an updated version was available, so pressed the link down loaded it.
I thought it would replace old one, but new one just ended up on my desktop.
What do I have to do next

If whatever you downloaded has a name ending in .exe then it's a program that you have to run to install the new version. Start it by single or double clicking it (depending on you you have Windows set up) and it should install. Have your firewall and virus scanner running before you start the process.

RoadTrip is for the Mac, so forget the virus application advice.

Just double click on the package. RoadTrip is still in Beta, so the installer isn't fully integrated yet. You should have had a message on-screen at some stage during the download process.

I have downloaded the updated road trip
gone through all the stages
but every time I open road trip to use it it tells me there is a new version downloaded I click on continue and always get directed back to garmin/mac
I just keep going round in circles, has anyone down loaded the update successfully what am I doing wrong
as evrytime I open it I get the same message

Used Roadtrip for the first time in a while yesterday. It told me that a new version was available but that it wouldn't auto-update. It opened a webpage to the right spot on the Garmin site (not sure where that was) and after I downloaded it it auto-ran, updated and I've had no problems since.

As it all worked that won't be much help to you
