for those of you of the 'making good progress' persuasion the Police Roadcraft book is finally being updated (current one is 1996 vintage I believe) and re issued at the end of this month, there's a reasonable description of whats new in it on Amazon.

if anyone has any info pre release pls share!

When you say updated, how 'updated' is it? Does it include the following update:-

When entering and exiting a bend use all the road available by hugging the centre white line and then powering out of the bend with a little tug on the handlebar whilst lifting the front end high.

This replaces the previous IAM theory that taking the bend wide gives you a far better view ahead of you when rounding a bend because it's not about what you can see, but how quickly you can get there. :thumb2

...and why is this in the 1200 section :nenau

I saw some of the draft, but have not seen the finished article. None of it is vastly different, in that the laws of physics, & the rules of the road, haven't changed.
It is a re-wording, & hopefully an easier read.

.... but there is a chapter on how to pull wheelies on a Pan ... :D

And some colour pictures of post 1996 bikes:pullface

And asterisks on the bits about "gently feeding in the power" on the exit of a bend*

* nail the f*&^er if you have traction control....................................:augie

Neil
(and yes I have read the old one)

What's this doing in the 1200 technical section ?

There is a section just for this type of thing. The rider and training forum.
