Roadlok issues

Love the suggestions and ideas to protect the barrel. I've had my original Roadlok for 3 years and its been on 4 different bikes and currently protects my KTM1290 GT.

I clean my barrel with carb / brake cleaner and the barrel face gets wiped down with ACF50.

In the time I've been supplying Roadlok's I've only replaced one barrel that seized and rusted through lack of use. That could be because customers are going straight to Iain at Roadlok USA though?

If anyone ever needs any spares just get in touch. I have spacers, bolts, barrels & keys and the Roadlok units. I'll always do my best re-the price for my fellow forum members.

Stop spoiling our fun Chris, we like to moan..............:beerjug:

When I was over at Tall Lads house doing his valve and cam alignment check, his Roadlok lock mechanism was rough / sticking as well.

So there may be more people out there than you think, with this problem.....

lol so do I. I love the idea though of covering the barrel, more so as an all year rider. If anyone designs a cover that stays on and does the job, I would be ore then happy to purchase a few :thumb

Will send you a few when testing is finished Chris, just making sure they stay on OK, and also do not break off in the barrel as well, so I am being the Guinea pig, when all is finished will only be price of post and half a pint, lol

Well my 'inner tube' idea is working great. Did 200 miles today and perfectly easy to use and covers lock completely :)

The rubber cover I’m using hasn’t budged since I fitted it, and is cheap.

I followed Nutty's idea, only in black, as I haven't defected to Orange .... yet.
Works brilliantly. Did 900 mile around Snowdonia over Easter... it never popped out at all.
