Hello to everybody,

I'm new here and this is my first post.
I'm driving my wonderful ADV allover my country Italy 12 months a year. So In case you plan to be here and you need info on the best roads to drive I will be happy to help you:) :) .

ciao

Pistoia to Bologna

I was out there earlier this year

If you get chance take the Pistoia to Bologna road over the mountains. It’s absolutely awesome for a bike. It was good enough in the car. I think it’s the SS64

Having said that even if you take the motorway option (A1) the views are as wonderful and even this climbs to c2500 feet (according to Garmin)

What ever you do have fun. Great GS roads all-round.

Ciao p028374

Hope to be riding down from Austria through the Dolomites and over to Florence/ St Gimigano[?] area with my other half end August early September so Iwill be contacting you.

ciao

The Dolomites are superb! Everything between Cortina D`Ampezzo and Bolzano is a joy to ride. Take whatever pass you can but don`t forget to travel westwards too to ride the Stelvio and near France the Colle di Sampeyre and the mountain ridge on top of it (Via Maira I believe).

Yep did the Stella last year and allthe passes around the italian french border are great.

P if you ever find youself in Spain, give me a call!
