I have a stripped thread in the lower front left rocker cover. I have searched this forum and found it is not an uncommon occcurance. I used a torque wrench but maybe it had been weakened before. My question is, what size is the bolt (mm) securing the rocker cover and what size (mm) Helicoil do I need? I am over in Kosovo working, so I want to make sure I order and get sent the right bit. Thanks.

helicoiled mine with no probs what so ever. timeserts just more expense.link from ebay where i got mine from.Helicoil Thread Repair Kit Set 25 Inserts 6mm x 1.0mm... hope this helps

Thanks for the quick replies, I think I will go for the Helicoils as there are very good reports on them. It's not leaking at the moment, I have done about 2,000 miles since the last service a month ago and I am off to Sachsenring next weekend for the German MotoGP, another round trip of about 2,000 miles so I hope it holds out until I'm back from there. Thanks again.

timeserts are better for alloy , industry uses em more than timesert, especialy good for fine threads
