Just went to put new pads in the back of my bike to find one of the caliper bolts has stripped the thread in the caliper ( Jai'accuse BMW Istanbul :spitfire but's thats whole other story ). Does anyone know if it's possible to replace the backing plate on the caliper or do I need a whole new caliper?

Cheers :tears

Edit: should say - 1150GS '02 BM branded Brembo's non ABS or Servo

Yes. But i'm not sure if they're sold separately.

All the 1100/1150 GS rear calipers are the same.

That was quick!! Haven't even finished stomping round my flat in a mood yet! You haven't got a used one there somewhere Steptoe have you? Caliper that is? Have cash, will travel! Or even the backing plate?

I'll have a look, and get back to you later - just off out to fix a hall sender unit failure on a GS.
