I'm toying with fitting a 1 gallon (US) Rotapax container to the wheel side of the right hand side case frame. But I don't have a pak to test fit.
The tyre will clear the container but is there enough space for the FD on full bump?
Has anyone tried this?

Failed fuel strip on mine so carry one of these just in case ,fuel friend 1.5l.
I suppose if I was taking off rtw I'd go for the rotopax but this one will get you out the shit maybe 15 or 20 mile :thumb2

That looks the bomb mate ( pun intended)
You may just live up to your Rocketman name with this set up.:aidan

Ditto fuel strip.
I fancied the 2 litre Givi containers but -
fitting them to bare frame will be a hassle
I usually don't carry the side cases
Givi caps look fiddly for filling.
Rotapax makes sense but I don't want to put a divot into my FD case.

Has anyone tried one on the wheel side of the side case frame.

Geezer, never tried it on a GSA (so I guess my reply is kinda naff, soz) but here`s the rotopax fitted to a GS for your information.

Thanks.
I'm wanting to put it on wheel side of side case frame but concerned the FD case might hit it.
Brake caliper to wheel side of frame looks like 3". But I believe Rotopax is 3" thick. Not having one to try it's hard to know if they will just miss or just hit.

Fella, I`m sure you will do what`s right & get it sorted but stay mindful of that FD - when I was designing the pannier rail toolbox its surprising how high that thing comes up under full compression. I`ve got one so if you ever wanna call by and try it you remain welcome

Hi Mark. Thanks for the offer sadly for me you are a good way away from me.
I've measured up.
The side case frame is almost exactly the same shape and size of a Rotopax. It would look made to fit. The 1 gallon is 13 x 9 x 3". But (there's always a but) the rear subframe cuts across the top corner cutting the space to 2.5". If the pack is sat lower I'm 90% sure it will hit the FD.
I might take off the rear shock and jack the back axle to full spring compression height and see what space there is to play with.
A hassle but I suspect the only sure way.
