Rotor stator gap

HELP!!! Bought ex police 2018 r1200rt after month stopped charging, strippef motor fpund rotor burnt out, replaced still not giving 14v. Stator tested ok , all else tested ok restripped motor and notoced big gap between rotor and stator. Are there different size stators for r1200 thanks

Perchance did you install the 133mm diameter for the GS rather than the 139mm stator for the RT?

Theres a 4mm gap, stator 133mm so that makes sense, bought the one advertised for bike any recomendation for supplier of correct one, thanks for info ( rebuilt bike, started 1st time still had same fault so only cost of petrol stopped me burning it !!)
