Rotterdam to Baden Baden

Only if the track is open to the public! It wasn't open til 5pm the day we turned up last August:(

We were heading to Seebach, not far from Baden Baden, so we didn't have time to wait.

Next time:thumb

Seebach is a nice wee spot :beerjug:

A ring taxi is an official nurburgring car that can take three passengers, not cheap, a couple of hundred euros per passenger but they do go for it, especially towards the end of the day when their allocated tyres are almost shot. I think they are all M3s now rather than the M5.

The ring is open for either full days or sometimes only partial days. These are known as tourist days/sessions and you can just turn up and buy a credit card style thing that you can then use to get you on to the ring. People can often be found selling cards with unused laps on them as well.

The tourist day calendar can be found by googling.

Have done this route. 3 of us, off the ferry onto the boring motorway, direct route via Aachen, tried visiting the 'Ring' on the way, but it makes it a huge day, better giving it dedicated time, fantastic experience. We stayed in Holiday Inn in Baden, nice hotel, collected my points on my priority card lol. Nice walk into town, lovely place., Nx day. tackle the B500. Have done it the other way round too, B500 north to Baden then direct to the ferry, sore arse which ever way. Have fun
