Hi chaps

I am on the road at the moment and have been keeping a blog for my friends and family but thought some of you might be interested. I did a bit of whistlestop tour of the Blakans and then went on to Turkey and then to Georgia and Armenia. I spent most of my time in Turkey where is is now damn hot. I set off on the 15th May but have a few weeks left.

Just in case anyone is planning a trip, you can see my thoughts at http://ridethebalkans.blogspot.com/
I am working on the maps/routes and will attach them before too long.

I dont think it is worth the bother to re-post it here so feel free to rummage and recommend something for me to see on the way back. I am planning to route via Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary so if you have and suggestions, let me know.

Thanks

Paul

Will be reading your Blog, I'm already thinking about Lake Van, Armenia, Mount Ararat and Georgia... :thumb2

Fuel is a bitch, and the country is vast. It takes a long time to get anywhere. The people are amazingly friendly and (big) bikes are still a real novelty so you are always someone that peole want to talk to. Pity I find turkisk a bit of a bugger to learn.

I think the eastern side is by far the most interesting and maybe next time I might get a visa for Iran. Everyone tells me the people are the friendliest on the planet (never mid all the political nonsense)
